Christian Coleman Will Race 100 Meters Only at Prefontaine ClassicBy Adam Kopet The anticipated double in the 100 and 200 meters at Saturday's Prefontaine Classic by Christian Coleman is not to be. Late Wednesday, only hours after the 200-meter start list was released, Gene Cherry of Reuters reported Coleman would drop the 200 and focus only on the 100. Today, Coleman's withdrawal from the 200 was made official.
This will be Coleman's first individual race of the outdoor season. He ran on 4x100 relay team at the Tennessee Relays in April. Coleman had been scheduled to compete at the Shanghai Diamond League meeting, but he withdrew several days before, citing a physical issue. More news |
