Live updates throughout the weekend from the events taking place at Hayward Field

Highlights, flash quotes, top tweets and much more from the track at the Prefontaine Classic, the third meeting of the 2017 IAAF Diamond League season. 

Sunday, May 27

15:00pm: What a weekend at the Prefontaine Classic. The IAAF Diamond League saw so many world-leading marks, Olympic champions refueling their competitive fire and thousands and thousands of fans cheering loudly. 

14:58pm: And for the grand finale...Ronald Kwemoi wins the Bowerman Mile, outlasting a tremendous field to win 3:49.04-3:49.08 over fellow Kenyan Elijah Manangoi! Clayton Murphy finishes fifth as the top American in 3:51.99!

14:48pm: Tori Bowie becomes the first women under 22-seconds this season, winning the women's 200 meters in 21.77. World leader! Shaunae Miller-Uibo comes in a close second in 21.91.

14:40pm: Ryan Crouser!!! 22.43!!! Wins the men's shot put in a world #2 mark, beating fellow Olympic medalists Tom Walsh (second) and Joe Kovacs (third). The future of the shot put has arrived and the young talent is truly outstanding. 

14:38pm: Faith Kipyegon has a huge kick to outwork the rest of the women's 1500m field in 3:59.67, running sub-4 for the second time this season and continuing to rank as the world's fastest on the season. 

14:34pm: Maria Lasitskene, competing as a neutral athlete, wins the women's high jump in 2.03m. A new world leader! No other athlete has cleared the two-meter barrier this season. 

14:32pm: Ronnie Baker for the win, upsetting the field in the men's 100m in 9.86!!!

14:27pm: You have to love the USA-USA-USA chants during the men's triple jump earlier, as Christian Taylor and Will Claye once again put on a show against the world's best. 18.11m-18:05m makes them world #1 and world #2.

14:25pm: Sam Kendricks wins the men's pole vault in 5.86m, upsetting local favorite Renaud Lavillenie, who finishes second in 5.81m. Armando Duplantis though still has the world lead of 5.90m - finished fourth today. 

14:22pm: Crouser continues to dominate, with a third round toss of 21.88m, he's keeping this field on it's toes, knowing it's going to take a throw near 22 meters to win. 

14:18pm: Caster Semenya wins the women's 800m with a burst of speed at the finish in 1:57.78 - 1:57.88 over Wambui. What a race!

14:11pm: Local favorite Ryan Crouser leads the men's shot put through round one in 21.78m. 

14:10pm: LaShawn Merritt continues his winning ways, building his legendary status at at the Prefontaine Classic with a dominating win of 44.79, as no one else in the field breaks 45 seconds. 

14:05pm: Jakob Ingerbrigtsen, a high schooler in Norway places eleventh, but runs an eye-opening 3:58.07 in the International Mile. Thiago Do Rosario Andre, of Brazil, wins the men's race 3:51.99.

13:41pm: Can anyone beat Omar McLeod? The Olympic champion rolls to a big win in the men's 110m hurdles in 13.01. Countryman Ronald Levy is second in 13.10.

13:35pm: Jasmin Stowers just put on a show in the women's 100m hurdles, winning over a star-studded field in 12.59. Queen Harrison runs a strong final two hurdles to finish second in 12.66. Americans go 1-2-3-4-5-6-7!

13:25pm: Mo Farah is incredible. The legend of Mo continues to build, as he runs a blazing final 200 meters to win 13:00.70 - his kick is unmatched! Five men under 13:05. What a race!

13:17pm: Men's 5000m is off to a fast start, really fast, with a 60 second first 400 meters!

13:12pm: Chaunte Lowe is out of the women's high jump competition early, while six women have already cleared 1.84m.

13:04pm: A 53.38 world-leading time for Ashley Spencer, as she beats an incredible field in the women's 400m hurdles. Shamier Little was right behind Spencer with 53.44.

12:58pm: And Christian Taylor jumps into the lead of the men's triple jump with a first round leap of 17.82m, with Bin Dong in second with a jump of 17.27m. Taylor's mark is a new world-leading performance. 

12:52pm: The future is coming, sprint fans, as American high school sophomore Tyrese Cooper wins the boys 200m dash in 20.51.

12:45pm: The men's pole vault and men's triple jump are both underway, both IAAF Diamond League events. Rio Olympic medalists are all over, including reigning Olympic champions Christian Taylor (triple jump) and Thiago Braz (pole vault). 

12:35pm: And we're underway here at historic Hayward Field on day two of the Prefontaine Classic, the third stop of this year's IAAF Diamond League. With sunny skies, warm temperatures and a packed stadium, today's results promise to be as amazing as ever.

20:41pm: Wow, 18-year old Celliphine Chespol just ran the second fastest time of all-time to win the steeplechase, winning in 8:58.78...all that despite losing her shoe in the water jump with just over a lap to go. 

20:35pm: Brittney Reese leads the women's long jump heading into the final round, with fellow American Tianna Bartoletta sitting in second.

20:30pm: A big win for the Bulgarian on the season.

20:26pm: Canadian Gabriele Stafford won the women's 1500m in 4:07.43, while Katie Mackey takes home second place in 4:07.79.
