Flash Quote: "I was determined to do it (break the world record) today, and I knew I could because I had taken my time to train for this race. We lost time in the first 3000 meters and it was hard to come back from that. The second pace-maker didn’t do well." - Genzebe Dibaba

20:55pm: So good!

Flash Quote: "I was really pleased today, the goal was to come out and jump seven meters, just to see where my training and everything was at. I feel like I’m headed in the right direction to where I want to be. It was really important to come out here and tell myself I could perform." - Brittney Reese

20:46pm: It's world record attempt time for Genzebe Dibaba. Here are the top four performers of all-time:

I’ve been under a lot of pressure lately by breaking two minutes, since you know, indoor 1:58. My coach pretty much told me to be patient, we don’t chase time, and you’ll run it when you’re ready.” - Charlene Lipsey
